Der Holländer Bernard van Meurs hat auf seiner Website noch ein paar Infos zum Einsatz der CMPs in Holland zusammengetragen.

In Queensland, Australien, gabs einen fast kompletten White Scout Car zu ersteigern (Verkaufspreis AUD 5'850):

Here is a WW2 military White Scout Car it rolls rear body is there which is unusual as they are normally cut off. and the concrete roller out front is in good order also unusual it has no motor or gearbox only a radiator, there are various body panels about 500 kgs. a correct spare bonnet I will list these panels shortly in the hope someone can identify them any.

Chassis number 260237 is a 4x4 has nothing of the drive train between front and rear diffs, no gauges nor anytthing that lives on the fire wall ther ea re 2 or 3 complete original bonnet s no doors, 2 spares rims plus variou sheet metal panels the rear body retains the sling ring (for the mounted gun to runaround on inside) up to where the door ways are, it looks as though body was cut thru the doorways and removed i have a tilt tray so can help loading and transport if desperate.

Okay with the photos you will see body panels tha form th eside there at least two of each , there are at 3 bonnets , there are smaller parts. 2/3 hubs with greased labels still on them steering column and wheel as per photo the inside photos reveal original hooks and the gun rail tool boxes . some of the floor will need to be replaced One photo has a mass of small parts..... only those that are white are included anything that is Bren is not and as such are being kept.

This White Scoutcar is one modified to an Armoured Observation Post for the Australian Army during WW2. It was attached to an Artillery Unit. The Australian Army Registration Number was 123678 and it was fitted with a 320cubic inch, Hercules 6 cylinder sidevalve engine. The original engine number was 1308790. This scoutcar was disposed of on 07th March 1958. Please hand this information on to the sucessful bidder and assk them to contact me so that I can keep the register up to date. Tim Scriven ist ein Australischer Sammler aus der Nähe von Melbourne. Er besitzt u.a. einen 1941 M3 Stuart Light Tank (Serial #2026), einen Ford F60L mit 1941 2-Pounder Anti Tank Gun (hergestellt von GMH in South Australia). Diese Konfiguration gab es nur in Down Under, offizielle Bezeichnung "Truck, 3-ton Portee, TK/A Gun, 2-pdr (Aust)".

Weiter gehört im ein schöner 1943 Bren Gun Carrier (hergestellt in Western Australia, Serial #5051). Dieser Bren Gun Carrier ist auf dem Titelbild des "Australian Military Equipment Profiles, Vol. 2 Local Pattern Carriers 1939-1945" (ISBN 0-646-12600-8), geschrieben 1992 von Mike Cecil vom Australian War Memorial.

Tim ist ein regelmässiger Teilnehmer des Swim-in in Corowa. Seinen Stuart Tank sieht man auch auf der DVD "Year of the Tracked Vehicle 2008".

Natürlich gab es vom Ford Canada auf Basis von Ford- und Chevrolet-Chassis auch eine Wrecker-Version. Auf der Website der Schweizer Armee gibt es einen interessanten historischen Überblick über den Panzereinsatz in der Schweizer Armee seit Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts.

Urs Heller hat soeben seine Website www.militaerfahrzeuge.ch lanciert. Er befasst sich mit allen erdenklichen ehemaligen und aktuellen Rad- und Kettenfahrzeugen der Schweizer Armee. Viele technische Daten und einige Bilder der entsprechenden Exemplare werden aufgelistet.

Urs Heller ist ausserdem der Autor des Buches "Die Panzer der Schweizer Armee von 1920 bis 2008". Für Fr. 80 kann es direkt bei ihm bestellt werden.

Dieser Chevrolet C60L (CL3844301577) aus dem Jahre 1943 wurde bei ebay USA für $ 5'600 verkauft. Auf der rechten Seite der Motorhaube, unten auf der Stosstange ist die Hupe. An diesem Ort hatten sie allerdings nur die Ford's, nicht die Chevy's.

Own a part of history from WW2. This is a rare 1943 CMP C60L, Lorry 3 ton GS, General Motors of Canada 6 cylinder, 85 block horse power. As far as I know it is all original and is in running condition. It is a 4X4 and the vechicle will be sold as is and where it is with no warranty.
